Owner Bruce Forsyth said, “Winning this award was a very pleasant surprise. All the staff at Advance Therapy would like to thank our friends in the Brazos Valley, The Eagle, as well as our patients and gym members for this unexpected honor.”

Advance Therapy first opened its doors in 1999 with a philosophy centered on state of the art care, personalized to fill the individual
needs of each client. Six years later, the philosophy has paid off, with Advance Therapy being recognized by The Eagle readers as the best physical therapists in the area. Forsyth moved to the area from Abilene in 1999. With his family still in Abilene, he networked with physicians and promoted his
business. For the first six months, his time was spent commuting between Bryan-College Station and Abilene on the weekends.

“Any time you step out on your own, there is a bit of a risk. And of course, there was a lot of sacrifice at the beginning. This award is tremendously satisfying and I give the credit to God, our community and local physicians for making this possible.”

Forsyth said he credits his physical therapists Troy Winward, Dana Burch and Cindy Grant, as well as the rest of the s taff for this success.

“I have to credit my employees. I have the best employees, they are very trustworthy and happy, a great bunch and I consider them one of my blessings. If you don’t have happy employees, you won’t have happy customers,” he said. “We treat our customers like family.
People are just comfortable coming in. When people come into your facility smiling, that is your payday right there.”

Although he is the owner, Forsyth, a physical therapist, continues to work at Advance
Therapy.

“If you own a business, you better be involved, you have to be ‘down in the trenches’ with the employees and know what is going on. As well as helping to have a relationship with the employees, the employees see that you as owner have a vested interest and you are
not asking them to do anything you wouldn’t do. They feel like they are invested in the company as well. I am grateful for everything they put into the facility,” he said.

For those who bring this article when visiting us, the first month’s fee will be waived and the second month’s gym fee will be donated to the Easter Seals Foundation. Thanks again Brazos Valley from all of us at Advanced Therapy.
