For some businesses, success comes from diversifying. However, for Jason C. Galvez, the managing attorney, The Galvez Law Firm and recipient of The Eagle’s Readers’ Choice award for “Best L awyer in the Brazos Valley,” concentrating on one area of law has been one of the keys to the Firm’s tremendous success. Mr.Galvez said receiving this award was both surprising and extremely meaningful to him.

“While working for another law firm, I learned more and more about the area of personal injury law and enjoyed it immensely. I realized I would be a better personal injury attorney if I chose to practice solely in that one area of law. So I started my own practice and have been doing exclusively injury work in the Brazos Valley since 1994,” he said. “It is both a tremendous and a humbling feeling. My heart goes out to everyone who voted for me as the best lawyer in the Brazos Valley.”

The Galvez Law Firm handles a variety of personal injury cases and represents clients on a contingency fee basis. This means clients never have to pay any “upfront” money to get someone to listen to their case. “We call it equal access to the courthouse steps,” Galvez said. “With us, you are guaranteed your day in court.”

“It is important for people to know that a personal injury practice consists of many things including automobile accidents, 18-wheeler accidents, problems with insurance companies, defective products, drugs or anything else which consists of somebody being hurt physically or mentally because of someone else’s negligence or disregard for other’s rights. Our clients never pay any money up front, and we only take a case if we feel we can be very successful in representing them,” he said.“We only recover money if our client
recovers money. This really creates a good situation for our clients because they are never out any ‘up-front’ money, and we only get paid if they get money first. It gives them immediate access to our professional associates such as s pecialized doctors, private investigators, economists, and accident reconstruction experts, not to mention our truly exceptional office staff.”

Galvez said he credits his staff, consisting of two attorneys, two legal assistants, several office assistants, and an office manager who coordinate and manage each case, with the success of the firm.

“I would be remiss not to mention my staff’s importance in the success of our business. My clients love my staff. They are very kind, caring and understanding. Our clients really appreciate that. We take each and every one of our cases as if it is our only case. When someone comes to The Galvez Law Firm they not only hire me but they hire the entire firm,” he said. “Along with my staff, we employ some of the best doctors, investigators, and economists the State of Texas has to offer to ensure each case is given proper, professional, and unsurpassed treatment as we work in tandem to get our clients the highest settlement amount possible for their individual claim.”

Galvez has also worked to create a strong and lasting personal bond with his former clients.

“We tell our clients, ‘We want to be your lawyers for life.’ We practice solely personal injury law but give legal advice, personal injury related or not, to anyone who asks. I think it’s important for the community to know there are lawyers out there who truly care,” he said. “It is also tremendously rewarding when former clients become friends after their case is
concluded. I can be found playing spades or ‘42’ dominoes on the weekends with friends who were former clients. We have clients who often drop by for no reason other than to chat and have a coke or a cup of coffee. I never thought after graduating from law school many years ago that these relationships could be so personally and professionally rewarding.”

This personal touch has also lead to an increase in clients.

“Nothing feels better than to get a phone call from someone who says that a friend has referred them to us. It means we are doing our job right and constantly ascribing to reach total client satisfaction,” he said. “The best compliments I hear from former clients is how smoothly, efficiently, and quickly our operation runs, how accessible and caring we are, and how much they love the results we produce. These compliments are what keep me
coming to the office each day,”he said.

“When all is said and done we want our clients to truly believe they made the right decision by hiring us. We’re local. We care. We want the best results. And in the end, we work for you.”
